FFP stands for Filtering Facepiece Particle; or: a face mask that filters particles. The added number (FFP 1, 2 or 3) expresses how strongly the inhaled air is filtered. The higher the number, the greater the protection. In healthcare, FFP1 and FFP2 masks are mainly used. The masks are labelled FFP1 (at least 80% of particles are retained), FFP2 (94%) or FFP3 (99%). The masks also have a CE mark. The masks are tested based on the NEN-EN 149 +A1 standard and must comply with the European Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EC 2016/425).
There are FFP2 masks that are intended for single use, these are widely known. However, there are now also FFP2 masks that are reusable. You can wash them up to 20 times and they still retain the same FFP2 protection level.
Ask for a quotation for regular FFP2 masks (disposable) or for the reusable FFP2 masks.
